The SVEG association

The association today has its seat back where it all once started.

For soon 40 years the association has been involved in marine archaeology, ship and boat building and bringing the Viking Age to life. 

As an ideal partner of the archaeological open air museum you can, as a volunteer, take part in the activities tied to the museum. 

As a member you may partake in the Viking Age life at Sigrid's farm with crafts, cultivations or simply living Viking life. At Idavallen you can practice your skills at Viking Age games, archery and more. 

If you are more interested in the maritime life we also have a group who have long been involved in marine archaeological techniques and research. We have a reconstructed Viking ship we maintain and plan to launch again to sail on the Lödde å and the sea.
